  1. well, I must say that allthough I thought it was amazing, I expected something….different….something more…wow. I I loved the first guy that comes out. His acting was great. He was creepy and mysteriouse. You couln’t take your eyes of of him when he was on stage. Alice was…I don’t know, something about her acting just felt a bit off. Like she was over acting. I really liked the clowns at the begging but then after a bit they started to do very basic, and old, normal clown trips. I thought it was a bit boring. I loved the use of the videos. It made Alices transportation of worlds seem more really. My favorite part I think was the part with the main guy and the mirrors. It was sooo cool. I also really loved the part of alice and the orchestra hands. Now what about that second half!? that was a bit unexpected. I thought it was very erotic. I liked it, don’t get me wrong. But I am still deciding whether or not I think it really went with the rest of the show and if it added or took away to the over all porformance, and if it fit with the rest of the show.

  2. okay so Aspects of Alice…this was my firt time watching black light theatre, and I was interesting to say the least. Truthfully, I was expecting something more dramatic perhaps, something more breaktaking, however I was still impressed having never seen it before. Now i dont know what to say exactly about the actual show Aspects of Alice because i have nothing to compare it to in terms of story line and acting. As a dancer type person i was impressed with the physicality of a whole show that relies on the body to tell the story. I really liked that aspect of it. It makes it universal, and no language barrier or confusion. The story itself, well, i was alittle bit boring in some parts. The nudity livened it up a bit. I was alittle confused as to why the nudity, but after todays lecture with Lucie, it made sense it terms of shock value. Like she said that Theatre here is aimed to shock, to make the audience feel..positive..negative, whatever as long as it wakes you and rattles your senses. I guess that explains the nudity. I would love to watch more black light shows so i could get a better feel for it, and be able to have a basis of comparison. So yeah.
