Being in the dark!!! ( Get it???)
So Blacklight theatre was something that I didn’t expect. I’m going to say that I definetly enjoyed the experience but most of the time I kept trying to analyze how this was done, or where they spotlight was coming from or even where the stage hands where during the actual effects!!! Ahi!!! I kept trying to tell myself to just enjoy it and try not to keep thinking about it as a backstage hand!!!! In the begnning I was thinking that it was going to be a little ike, cheap underbudget (not to offend anyone or any type of theatre but everyone gets it) thing but it seemed decent. The actress really bothered me for some reason, I’m trying to put my finger on it but I just can’t make out what it was about her that I couldn’t enjoy. I think that it was that I could see her anticipate the effect or the emotion before it happened and that ruined the element of surprise, for me (then again I was probably over analyzing it). I would like to do or at least see some sort of Black Light performance in the U. S. A. because with the more technology that we have I think it can be very interesting!!!! When it came to the plot I didn’t really get what was the point of some of the things or the story behind some of the things. I felt like some of the story were made up for the sake of having the effect but to me some of it was a little cheesy for the most part. There were some really good moments like the hands and the effect of the pole but the actors that played the clowns I didn’t get what they were doing!!!( trying to cheer her up?)but whatever. I also figured out that the guy was in control and that she died at the end but I didn’t understand the relationship of the movie to the action that was happenning. Overall it was different and enjoyable and I think I would ike to see a whole different genre in Black Light. I do commend the actors because it is not easy telling a story without dialogue. ( that was a plus) Okie dokes Enjoy. Cari

Like we talked about, it is hard to watch theatre objectively sometimes. The plot issue was a common problem. I’ll post about it.
Oh yeah. I don’t get it.
